Die Sterreweg students came to Smile at Us!
Tamarin Windvogel part of the admin for Die Sterreweg Daycare Centre for children with special needs in New Horizon, Plettenberg Bay, contacted Monkeyland to find out the fee to bring some of their children that have never been to visit us. Without hesitation the Monkeyland and Birds of Eden management opened their doors for free to this Small school who does SO MUCH for those who are differently-abled.
On Thursday the 22nd of October they showed up to visit with us at Monkeyland and on Friday the 23rd they came back for their visit to Birds of Eden.
A big thank you goes out to the Orca Foundation Volunteers who showed up in full force to assist with pushing wheelchairs. I would also like to thank the Monkeyland and Birds of Eden teams who made sure to treat these differently-abled children as they deserve to be treated….like everyone else with respect and love.
I am not sure if they enjoyed it but if you look at those smiles…then I have to take a guess and say YES.
We hope Die Sterreweg will bring them for another visit so that they can also enjoy Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary.
Thanks to Tamarin and her team for the work they do, the care and devotion they have for these kids is very obviouse and I take my hat of to you!
